Animals are said to be our best
friends but there is very little that we actually do in order to
save them from the arrogance of common man. The moment actually
becomes rapturous when famous personalities join hands with
various charity organizations in order to raise funds for these
neglected ones. The renowned singer, Kavita Krishnamurti was
recently seen in the town performing for a charity Organization
called Circle of Animal Lovers" She proved out to be marvelous
in her attempt to raise funds for this organization, which is
working for animals.
The jam packed auditorium and the
claps of the audience made her prominence crystal clear. She
began the show with the Song "Om Namashivaya which she sang for
Music Director Laxmi Kanth in the Film Bhairavi, her all time
favorite Pyar Hua Chupke Se. from 1942 A Love Story, Humpe Ye
Kisne Hara Rahg Dala, from Devdas immediately followed, she also
sang Tumhari Adavon Pe Main Vari Vari, from Mangal Pandey and a
song from Zubeda, Dheeme Dheeme Ga then cam the truly spicy song
Nimbuda Nimbuda from Hum Dil de Chuke Sanam followed by Aaj main
upar, from film Khamoshi and Koi Milgaya from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
Finally she sang the song I love my India from Pardes. Besides
kavita audiences were also thrilled by the parody of mimicry
artist Narendra Bhansali, other people present at the concert
were singer Abhijeet Ghosal and Kavita Krishnamurti’s elder
sister Nandita Ahlawat. A very Jubilant Kavita also talked to
the audience about her views on charity. She said "Every one
will be busy in their livelihood. I too will be busy with my
recordings, traveling etc. I cant be there physically to stop a
vehicle, which is crushing an animal. But I can help them by
raising funds for the charity that is working for animals.
